The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Theatre Department Alumni Artist-in-Residency Program is hosting a special event, “Hispanic Heritage Month- Celebration of the Arts”. This is a FREE event and open to the public. Attendees can enjoy food vendors, artists and performers in the school’s Commons Cafe. A special performance will also take place in the Charter Arts Theatre beginning at 4:30 PM. The celebration event will include salsa classes, salsa music, face painting, caricatures, kids crafts, a children’s show and more!

This colorful stage production is a bilingual/bicultural musical featuring traditional regional music and dance from Mexico to tell the story of twelve-year-old Vita Flores who thinks her family has gone loco planning a celebration for deceased loved ones. “Why throw a party for the dead?” But when a spirited candy skeleton suddenly springs to life, Vita finds herself on a magical, musical journey to unravel the true meaning of Día de Muertos.

The Invisible Man (90th Anniversary)
Wednesday, October 4, 2023 | 7:30 PM. The signature adaptation of H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man stars Claude Rains as a mysterious scientist who discovers a serum that makes him invisible. Covered by bandages and dark glasses, the scientist arrives at a small English village and attempts to hide his amazing discovery. He soon realizes, however, that the same drug which renders him invisible is slowly driving him insane and capable of committing unspeakable acts of terror.
